ARRC is against violence, oppression, and extremism in any form, and for ceasefires around the world.

Internal gestures are a set of practices,
rituals, experiments and tasks we engage with, as a way to materialise ourselves
otherwise / beyond the virtual (and the prevailing logic of productivity).
Not only a method but also, significantly, a methodology, these gestures
enable us to enter each other’s worlds (spaces, temporalities and interests)
and create sense, together.

Audiovisual derives #toreside

Wellcome to this dialogue with no words but moving image. During the spring season (from Spring equinox to Summer solstice) three members of ARRC excanged videos from their respective localities (Melbourn, Mineapolis and Lloreç del Penedes) reflecting on the concept: To reside.

Link to the outcome coming soon.

Archetypes for a Journey

An In-depth tarot reading using a bespoke deck, which was created as part of the Creative Europe funded project called Reshape. Over a series of sessions using  'Archetypes for a journey / A Tarot to Reshape the Arts' tarot deck, ARRC sat for a four-card reading and played out rituals exploring our fears and expectations, building tools for reflection, as well as seeking alternative outcomes.

This activity took place between March - May 2021.

The Boxes

Following the practice of the Tarot, the 'travelling boxes' are a tool to further engage with the practice of ritual and establish conceptual and analogical synchronicities through secret actions. Each box contains one significant question to be researched cumulatively; the originating ARRC member has crafted an action to be performed by each of us in our time and place.

This activity is ongoing.

The Patterns

Patterns, an essential part of permaculture, can show us ways in which we can imagine possible futures for residencies and other ways of living. In preparation for our forthcoming July residency as part of ‘Curating Advanced Practices’ (CAP) at the Künstlerdorf in Schöppingen, Germany, we are adopting and reflecting upon Looby Macnamara’s natural patterns in our individual practice and collaborative work as ARRC.
